review 1: Typical Roane, which is a compliment. As a novella, not my preferred reading, clear the story could have been fleshed out and made perhaps more enjoyable as a full book but it's cut to the chase skipping the first years of the H/h meeting, getting to know one another and avoiding one another due to typical romantica angst. Nice nod to her other (better) series that starts with "Ascension" in this story when the h recalls reading it.
review 2: Nothing like a growly mate and a vampire too boot to get the love potion flowing .....I found this new fantasy world amazing, with all the realm folklore.... Gus was my favorite..... stepping from foot to foot showing his joy :) it was wonderful. Such a different take to vampires ...... loved it. Apart from it being a bi... moret short, me wanting a bit more prologue for the start of the story and the editing fluff, I enjoyed it. Will be indulging in the next one in the series for sure! less
