review 2: I did not read this whole thing - I picked and pulled out areas that I wanted clarification on for a speech and video production I was helping someone with. I can tell you that it helped immensely. In a succinct "how to" way, this book tells you the secrets of how to have a captive audience - what works, what doesn't, and what pointers are important to have in any persuasive speech. I wish this had been out when I was teaching speech class a few years ago. One of my bucket lists items it to give a TED talk someday and this will be a must have. So, you can pull out certain things, or read the book in its entirety. Either way, I think you will be pleased if TED talks and those who give the appeals to you. less
