review 1: All You Need is Love is a sweet story about not knowing what you already have when you are wishing for something different. It is a bit predictable, which isn't always a bad thing. I found Spencer to be kind of a cardboard character, couldn't really get attached to him. It kind of felt like we didn't really get to know him. Whereas we really got to know Johnny, how kind and caring he is, how much he loves Sally and Charlie, even if his role in their life is not what he wants it to be. Without spoiling the book, it's a very sweet and uplifting story and the title is very apt.
review 2: Molto carino e umano, belli i capitoli sulla riqualificazione del quartiere in cui vive la protagonista. Tuttavia è un po' troppo tirato per le lunghe e l'inevitabile finale ... moregiunge dopo troppe pagine, grazie alle quali verrebbe voglia di intitolare il romanzo "Le donne preferiscono l'amore quando non sono così cieche da non accorgersi che ce l'hanno sotto gli occhi". Certo che chiunque preferirebbe l'amore con uno come Johnny, ma se ne accorgerebbe dopo 3 pagine. less
