review 1: I haven't read any of Carole's books before but I saw a review which likened her to my beloved Marian Keyes so I thought it give it a whirl. It's definitely not on the scale of Marian's witty writing, but there were some extremely funny laugh out loud moments, and on the whole I liked the book and the characters. It is easy reading and one which I did in a couple of days.I am just about to start reading the sequel, With Love At Christmas, to get me in the festive spirit and hope its as good as this one.I'm not normally a fan of chick lit but I needed a break from mystery and thrillers, my very favourite genre, as I am becoming a super sleuth at figuring out who the perps are, and indeed I could apply as a CSI at the rate I've been going!Nice, easy reading if you need a lit... moretle light relief.
review 2: I didn't know that this book is the first in the series about Juliet and Rick and had a kind of deja vu feeling and though, what the hell, am I reading the same book ubder other title, but I guess reading the same author over and over again just does this to you:)Nevertheless, it is again a heart - warming, funny book, a book that makes you laugh out loud and cry and this is really what I'm looking for in a book. Every time that I though, well, nothing more can happen, the Joyces have already spent their lomit of diseasters and turned the page, well, there actually something happened, I have never seen a family so prone to accidents. Some of them funnier than the others, some really dangerous, but I was not bored for a second reading this book.Juliet is wonderful, Rick is so loving, he would do anything for his family, I missed a little Juliet's dad, Rita is hilarious and I always laughed reading the ping - pong conversation between her and Rick, the children are too adult to be so spoiled and my feelings to Chloe didn't change at all. I don't like her, point.I think I will never get enough of Carole Matthews. That's point here as well. less

Lovely, family chaos, there is nothing like it. Can't live with it and neither can we do without it.
