review 1: If you would like to read a good book on Jane Seymour I would suggest "Plain Jane" (Can't remember the author). While I understand that it is hard to always get the details right I was offended by how off base some of the things that happened were. Nun of Kent? A secret lover? No mention of the second Seymour brother Thomas? And in conclusion my heart always lies with Anne Boleyn so it is very difficult to love a story that purposefully paints her as evil. I just wanted a chance to read a story from another angle. Unfortunately it was one that wasn't well done.
review 2: I didn't like this as much as I did other books I've read by this author. The character of Jane Seymour seemed very much undeveloped. Also, there were parts of the story that were so outrageo... moreus that they were unbelievable, such as Jane taking a French lover that Anne Boleyn later killed by pushing out the window, and Jane and Catherine of Aragon conspiring for Jane to replace Anne after Catherine's death. I was disappointed because the stories of Henry VII's wives are extremely interesting on their own; the stories are so wild that there's no reason to go to the level of outrageous this book did. less
