review 1: I really liked the writing style. I began reading this because of the history and finished because I had to know what would happen to the characters. I think it would deserve 3 and 1/2. The history was turned into an easy-to-read story. I think the history was interpreted properly, but I found the ending dragged-out and horribly sad and depressing. I know the writer couldn't help it, as it I history, but I still found it painful to read. Nevertheless, a good read.

It was okay. The author made Mary out to be a silly girl, even when she became a woman.

Ok as far as entertainment value. I am a bigger fan of Phillipa Gregory, however.
