review 1: Maddox Jamenson is the Omega of the Redwood Pack. He can literally feel all the emotions of his pack members. His job as Omega has really limited his love life. He fears his mate would be unable to also take on the packs emotions. It doesn’t help that the woman he has feelings for is the outcast daughter of their enemy and his brother appears to have feelings for her too.Ellie Reyes has been tortured by her own family for years. She hates her former pack, The Centrals, and will do anything to help the Redwoods defeat them. The one thing she desires is her mate but he turned his back on her after rescuing her from her family. Ms. Ryan has thrown in more than one surprise to keep you on edge only to make you gasp with the scene between the Redwood and Central wolves. You will be shocked by who lives and who dies in Shattered Emotions. This is one book you will not want to miss. Many series books can be read as stand alone singles, but I do not recommend that for this series. In order to better understand the references made to previous books and how they build to the story line to Shattered Emotions I suggest you read this series in order.You will soon discover that Carrie Ann Ryan is an author you are moving to the top of your To Read List and asking her how soon the next installment will be available. Lucky for you she has other series available as well. If you have caught up with the Redwood Pack then check out her Dante's Circle Series or her Holiday Montana Series. Believe me you can not go wrong if Carrie Ann Ryan's name is on the cover.I must say this was the best book in the series so far, which is saying a lot since they are all great. Each new book just keeps getting better. I see two new books are scheduled for 2014 and I can not wait. This is one series I will hate to come to an end. Keep adding focal characters so we can continue to visit the Redwood Pack. You draw us in and we have chosen sides. We are Redwood wolves. less
