review 1: This is a very solid 3 stars, probably about 3.5. I think I found this book through #next10reads on Twitter. I liked both the writing and the characters. Although this story stood up just fine on its own, it's definitely part of a family series; the other characters got a substantial amount of perspective time.This (novel-length) book was definitely good enough to be worth the full digital list price, but the novellas in the series are priced high enough that I probably won't bother with them.
review 2: 4.5 starsSo this book was a really great continuation of the Montgomery series. I think this was an improvement on the first book the writing and story seemed to flow a little better then in Delicate Ink, maybe it's because the author has settled into the series... more I'm not sure, I just know that I think this book was a little better than the first even though the first was a great book to. I would have like to see Miranda and Deckers relationship evolve a little more because I felt just as we they were getting together the book was then finished I think seeing more of then at the start of the relationship would have made the story better for me. I like that we do see the whole family come to play within the each book and I think that they are intertwined into the story really well. I would recommend this book to others but I would advise you to read Delicate Ink first and also if you like that there are 3 novellas that have been released connected to the series that you will really like. less
