The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker was an Audible read for me. I imagine this book belongs in the fantasy genre.
Truth be told, I couldn’t read/listen through Chapter Four. It read like a poorly conceived imitation of Deb Harkness’s A Discovery of Witches. Couldn’t shake the feeling that it was an imitation and then it lost me utterly when the modern day “heroine” meets F. Scott Fitzgerald at a party. That sealed the deal for me and I deleted the book from my phone.
Save yourself, save your money read something else!
One star out of five for being a poor imitation of a fantastic book.
