review 1: 5 stars!!!I'm so glad I finally started this series because it has not disappointed so far. Tara and Duncan are definitely now on the list of my favorite couples. From the very beginning, I knew they would be such strong characters.This is not the typical time travel romance that I have read. there is magic, an evil old lady who will stop at nothing to get what she wants, a supportive family who you fall in love with immediately, and not so much conflict that you want to scream. There are hot scenes that leave you breathless and others that leave you smiling. Tara and Duncan had such good chemistry from the moment they met which was really quite a cute moment. I'm excited to read the next book in this series and see what happens with all the other characters.the story mov... moreed smoothly and quickly and I really loved all the magic and the incredibly strong connection between Tara and Duncan and how they handled whatever came their way. I don't like misunderstandings that take such a huge chunk of the story so that's another reason why I loved this story. It had everything you needed to keep the story exciting.I love every single one of Bybee's books!
review 2: WOW this was a great book. This is my first highlander book an I am hooked. I recommend this to everyone one. It has a little something for everyone. Magic , time travel, Romance. Duncan an Tera are from two different times. Duncan an his brother are at a Renaissance Faire. Duncan is on a mission to save young virgins from evil. Tera is there with a friend to have some fun. Read to find out what happens to them all. less
