review 1: If you need a break from the uber YA herione possessed of ninja-like skills, this one's for you. While the heroine is resourceful and brave, her feats of bravery are within the realm of what seems real. Two sisters left to fend for themselves after the death of their mother set off on a days-long trek to find the one adult they believe they can trust. But can he be trusted? Only one of the sisters knows the truth. Much happens along the way to alter both girls' perspectives, for the better and for the worse. Beautifully written with well-drawn characters, it never lags in pace. Highly recommended for all ages. Good for middle readers if language is a concern (there's almost none in this book).

... morehis book. I use to buy several books at once and so I don't have the customer reviews fresh on my mind when I finally starting reading one of them. This is an extraordinary book. Two sisters walking and facing all kind of troubles of living on the streets and not trying to be homeless. It is a story about love, family, betrails, second changes. Truly beautiful. less
