review 1: This is mostly Gary's side of the Urban Shaman series, but it includes short stories from several viewpoints. The only reason that I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it does require you to have read the series for it to make sense - it's a series of snapshots of the events from other standpoints and the novella "No Dominion" takes place in the middle of "Raven Calls". It will be great to read this in the proper chronology and there's a chronology note before each story to place it in the timeline.
review 2: I read all but the last story, since the final book has yet to come out.Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite books, because it fills in some things that have been lurking at the back of my mind, most notably what Gary thought the day he met ou... morer Joanne. Worth reading for any fan of the Walker Papers, and I highly suggest that you listen to the author's advice about the stories (i.e. read the book before reading this story advice). less
