review 1: Prayer, the most common of Christian practices, yet the most misunderstood in terms of how to ask, expecting what God has purposed for our lives personally. In this timely book, Charles F. Stanley has all the answers for us. He uses biblical principles, Scripture, prayer for you personally ( which I delighted in) and simple truths and encouragement to help you, and I, understand the reality of true prayer so we can come to God for answers, guidance, help and most importantly, the love of our Father in heaven who desires a relationship with all man. We also learn how to pray for others, how to pray expectantly and how to persevere during trials when it seems He is silent. These prayers have direction and purpose and a believer needs to know how to be right with God before a... moresking of Him what we want or desire. Dr. Stanley, in his ever loving manner, is succinct and careful with our hearts; leading us to the truth of scripture and leading us to God. I used this book devotionally; reading a chapter a day with my usual devotions. I found I needed time to meditate on each chapter and pray myself so I could assimilate the information and let God direct my heart to Him. Thanks Dr. Stanley for writing this book. I needed it and the world at large needs it as well. I highly recommend this book to pastors, bible study groups or anyone in need of prayer or feels their prayers are not being answered. God may be silent but He has a purpose in it as I discovered through the reading of this book.
review 2: If you are a believer, then I am sure you understand that prayer is a part of a Christian's life. That there is a power to prayer and it's a direct line of communication for us to God. This will definitely help you grow deeper in your relationship with God and enable you to understand just how simple and powerful adding to prayer to your daily walk will change not only your life, but even the lives of those around you that not only request your prayers but in some cases never ask.
