review 1: A thousand starsYesterday, I decided to stop all the books I was reading to start this book because of all the great reviews I was reading about it. And boy, what a great taste in books do you have. This one became one of my favorites for sure. First, this isn't a normal romance book. The thing is, both Julia and Crank (the main characters) are troubled. But Julia is more, and that was really surprising. Even more, because she didn't jump at Clark at first sight. She didn't say she loved him after three weeks. It was one of the most realistic romance books I have ever read. And it has baggage, people. Real, heavy, emotional baggage. I teared up a lot of times during this book. I LOVED Crank's family, let me tell you. Sean was love at first sight. What an amazing boy. And t... morehen I loved Julia with them, as I loved everything about her. She was strong, determined, and AMAZING. Crank didn't stay far behind, though. I loved how he would admit all his flaws. Like how he checked Julia's ass any time he could. And his love for his brother, his compassion, his patience towards Julia. You have to really love a girl to do all that Crank did. Anyways, I don't want to spoil too much. I started reading this book thinking this was going to be completely different. I remember telling my friends that I just needed a chill out, 3 stars reading to spend the time. Not an all time, consuming book. I don't regret it, though. I didn't know it, but I needed to read this book. It is beautifully written and everything that I love about a book. You can't go wrong with it.
review 2: 4.5 stars!Julia and Crank have both been dealt with difficulties in life even if they come from two very different backgrounds. I found their story to be a very emotional and beautiful love story that had me on the edge of my seat alot of times and shedding some tears also. I was always waiting and waiting for the bad stuff to happen to them and for everything to get ruined for them. They do have their difficulties and issues to work through in this book, but nothing overly angsty or dramatic. There were a few things that bothered me a little bit in the book, some personal disliking of things about characters, nothing major, nothing that won´t make this book worthy of 4.5 stars but not quite 5.I really liked this book, alot. less
