review 1: This book destroyed me, I am literally a sobbing heap, my heart is aching. I am not kidding, my god, this book...this entire series was mind-blowing, but THIS particular book ripped me to shreds... Ugh!! now I am crying again, fuck. I can not describe what I have just read, it was raw, emotional, it pulled at every string in my heart, love, devotion, betrayal, loyalty, always doing the right thing, standing up for what you believe & what is right & just. Its a Powerful message. I knew from reading the rest if the series this was going to be a good book, but Charles absolutely nailed it, I never saw this coming. Any author that can make the reader feel this much pain & raw emotion, through their words, & thoughts, deserves upmost admiration. Simply Than... morekyou
review 2: 5++++ highly emotional! have your tissues and red wine ready, stars!!! This is going to be the quickest review, because I don't want to talk about anything from this story, in the fear of giving anything away. The premise for this story, is that you must go in blind, pealing away layers as they are revealed. All I'm going to say, is that this final conclusion to the Thompson Sisters series, absolutely wrecked me. I was riveted from the start, unable to look away. Throughout this series, we fell in love with An amazing family of strong willed sisters, and their unconventional loves, we had Julia falling for Crank the rock star in A Song for Julia, we had Alex's second chance love with Dylan the wounded soldier from Afghanistan, and this final book is Carrie's story with Ray's journey after reporting a war crime from Afghanistan. This one, took things to a whole new level of understanding. Very spiritual. And that's all I'm going to say, with fear of affecting the emotional outcome to this amazingly emotional story. Everyone should read this series. I look forward to Andreas books next in the spinoff series. less
