review 1: This is a little novella about Crank and Julia, driving back home from San Fransisco with her sister and his brother after the tour has ended (that was starting in the end of the first book). It takes place about 2 months after A song for Julia ended. There is trouble in paradise because of Crank´s jealousy and mis-communication between the couple that started in the beginning of the tour. This is not a sequel or anything to the other one and you really don´t have to read it at all except if you want to get a little more story about those two and a little bit of drama. It was okay to read if you have the time to spend.
review 2: Good quick read, enjoyable - as the rest in this series have been .. Its a solid 4 stars .... Even though I had a few minor issue... mores,... Less issues & more curiosities * how did the relationship (if there was one) between Sean & Carrie play out... Did they actually have sex? I liken Sean to Sheldon on Big Bang Theory ... So the whole idea of him getting it on makes me curious how it all went down, I suspect (hope) Carrie & Rays book will give insight.*I would have liked to know about how getting back on the road with the band went,getting back to shows & the stress of traveling, other men & groupies.*ummmm the wedding ! Where, when, wtf did her parents say! What did Crank wear ... *hearing about the rest of the bandmates, & cranks parents - even a mention of how fame is effecting themThis is my problem with Charles sheehan-miles books... I am so deeply invested in this family , I need more information than what i received In this novella . I wish it had been a full novel. less
