review 1: I did not like this book. The narrative was too confusing to follow, often there were random chapters added in that had no significance to the plot. Lots of things were over or under explained and didn't flow right. Half of the plot lines were never heard of again and lots of things were left untied. Overall this was not a well thought out book and it took too long to read for something that wasn't enjoyable.
review 2: the seemingly disjoint writing style makes perfect sense part way through the book - don't let it deter you from getting a firm foothold in the world huston has made up to tell this story. set in the immediate future (at the time of writing) this book builds an alternate reality that looks frighteningly like our own. the action doesn't quit and... more the main characters all have captivating personalities. less
