Joe Pitt
review 1: So...it's over. It's finally over. I'll miss Joe Pitt. Been one hell of a ride. I thought this was a fitting end to the series and the best book since "Already Dead." Sure, it somewhat sputtered out, but what did you expect? Each book, this one especially, was pedal-to-the-metal to a point that I was getting whiplash just reading it. So, yes, the ending to the series did what it needed to. It reached the end. It slammed on the breaks. For those who care, here's my rankings. Book 1, Book 5, Book 2, Book 4, Book 3.
review 2: Okay, these Joe Pitt books are really gross. They are highly descriptive and well-written. But they are gross. Joe Pitt is the ultimate anti-hero and you can't help but like him even if he is a dick. He's just a dick to the right creeps. Gros
... mores. Blood, guts, disease, vomit...you name it...it's described in detail in these books. Yet, they are oddly compelling. Joe Pitt is officially the only acceptable vampire out there. less

Not quite as good as the first few in the series, but much better than the previous book.

Everything I have read by this guy is great. Pick him up if you like noir and violence.
