review 1: Damn, that was great...I cried, laughed, it was an amazing rollercoaster!I'm not usually a big fan of fast falling in love, but here it just seemed right and I can be open-minded (not often though :P)! Anyway I guess being handcuffed to someone for days, you really get to know them!Anyway, this is the story of Daren and Kayla. Both are dirt poor, have lost everybody or almost everybody they gave a damn about and have deep trust issues. So after Kayla's father funeral, when Daren and Kayla are being asked to be handcuffed to each other so they can get the inheritance Kayla's father left them, things get intense, and hilarious... Sparks fly but daggers too considering how stubborn they both are.This story is not only a romance though, it's also about love, the other kind of ... morelove.So yeah, I suck at this review thing, so the point is, it was great, the characters were great and I love Chelsea Fine pt glimpses of the other romances of this series in that book and I cannot wait to read Right Kind of Wrong.
review 2: Kayla's 21 years old and has just found out her estranged father has died. Her drug addict mother, with whom she's always lived with, died a few months ago. She hadn't seen her father for over 5 years, but she felt she needed to attend his funeral for closure. So, she packed up everything she had, which is basically just her clothes, and makes the drive to her father's small, hometown. Daren's as poor as Kayla, but he tries to hide it from everyone in town. He also hasn't seen Kayla's father in a few years, but attends the funeral because James Turner played a big part in his upbringing. Neither Kayla or Daren expect to be left anything in the will and are very surprised when James' lawyer asks them to attend the reading of it. To both of their surprise, James did leave them an inheritance to share, but they have to go through a scavenger of sorts together to get it, while handcuffed together. Neither of them is excited about this idea, but they both need the money.This is the second book in the series and it takes place in the same town, so you do see some of the same characters. I really loved Daren and Kayla's story. The storyline was very unique and I loved their witty banter back and forth. I'm really looking forward to the third book! less
