review 1: This is my favorite so far of the 3 I've read of this series. I liked the plot with the FBI girl going undercover at a BDSM club. She had dabbled in the scene but was not ready for the level she had to experience here to keep her cover. I liked the realism of how she acted and responded. I felt that with this as well as book 3 I learned a lot about what motivates people who live this life style. There was plenty of story here to hang the sex elements on and plenty of character development.
review 2: Ok, easily my favorite in the Masters of the Shadowlands series. Sinclair brings the noise and the kink by introducing the beginning of real plot. Gabrielle Renard goes undercover for the FBI at Club Shadowlands to draw the attention of a human trafficking ring
... morethat specializes in bratty submissives. The women are kidnapped and sold to the highest bidder for the pleasure of breaking them. It's a terrifying concept and gives Make Me, Sir alot of bite. There's something on the line in this novel. Gabi has volunteered to act as a decoy because, even though she isn't in the life herself, her good friend Kim, who is, is one of he young women who has been kidnapped. Of course, along the way, Gabi runs ass into palm with the Master of the Shadowlands trainees Master Marcus. Marcus is fit to be tied over the rebellions, defiant new trainee. Gabi is doing her best to be as difficult as possible to get noticed by the trafficking ring, even though all she wants is Master Marcus's attention. This is another great example of other types and different leves of involvement, preference and personality that comes in BDSM books and communities. Gabi is no meek sub. She's mouthy, cheeky, and cute as a button! Loved her character. Loved the wounded places on her soul and how they inform her character. I also loved that she is a super brave person. Like Jessica from the first book in the series, Gabi doesn't really participate in BDSM and really has to learn what it means to submit even though she resists all the way.Hot sex. Of course. But a really great read. Plenty of action, too. And all of our favorite Shadowlands Masters and their subs make cameos. Such a fun series. less

The plot is kind of getting old. I hope she can come up with something better for the next one.
