review 1: 4.7 stars.Book 7 in the Masters of the Shadowlands series.Linda is a survivor from the slavers that were stopped in the last book. Sam was part of the undercover team that went in to catch the slavers in the act and find out where they were. This is where he found Linda, and what a prise she was. Sam is a sadist, and he found in Linda just what all good sadists are looking for.Linda doesn't understand what Sam makes her feel. The slavers have broken something inside her, and when she hears a familiar voice from her time in captivity, will she ever be safe? This is a great continuation of the Masters of the Shadowlands series. The Masters have all stuck together to support and keep safe their submissive's.
review 2: Well, OK..that was something I never thought I... more would read. The SM part of all this so, so outside my comfort zone and so not my thing. As with all these books, much about control and the men, in particular, knowing exactly and instinctively what the women need. Not sure I buy it on any level...kink or not...but interesting that the erotic appeal of these books IMO seems to have little do or at least can have very little to do with the kink at all. As always I read kinky erotica as a sociological study-LOL. less
