review 1: Well now we're talking! This was one hot, kinky, believable story! No Doms with magical mind-reading abilities, no subs who didn't know they were subs. In this book, everyone knows their place, and not everything is going off without a hitch. What an improvement from the Shadowlands' first instalment.I liked that Dan was not the epitome of the super sexy, utterly seductive Dom. Not everyone has to be finely toned with dreamy blue eyes - glad to have found a different body type. And I liked even more that Kari was not the cum-ready slutty sub, you know, the ones that cum out of the blue without any kind of build up, or who need no after care. I loved how believable the characters were.And yes, the BDSM was kicked up a notch too. Not in terms of fetishes (though I have accep... moreted that my personal kinks will barely ever be depicted in a novel) but in terms of practice and "gravitas" if you will. Quite the hot little read, this one :)

In this dungeon, all of the DM are hard-bodied beefcake (trust me, not the same in real life!), wearing leathers, and providing a commanding presence. Kari is a curvy girl. She is insecure, excited, and nervous. Ms. Sinclair has perfectly captured that chaos of emotions that embodies the novice submissive, while providing a romantic love story to capture the heart.I love this series and I have one more on my Kindle.
