review 1: Just finished reading this today. A page-turner!Fun and engaging because it's about characters I'm familiar with (from the movie Kai Po Che, one of my favourite movies of all time!). Reading the book that the movie is based on after having seen the movie (twice!) turned out to be surprisingly not boring at all! It felt like a follow-up of sorts for this fan who would devour anything about Ishaan, Govind and Omi! And the book was different than the movie substantially enough to be equally satisfying as its own story :) Also savoured the fact that I was reading a story set in India for the first time, and liked the little bits of information about Ahmedabad, Gujerat, cricket, and local culture/society (samosas and chai, temple and tikkas, pol, elections, etc). A book I'll ... moretreasure!
review 2: The 3 mistakes if my life – I read this book and watched the movie – If you think movie is good enough rather than reading this book you are in for a big surprise. The way they changed the character of Omi or Govind in the movie is surprising and disappointing, especially Omi. Worth reading very good time pass. I saw more depth in Ali’s character while reading the book which I didn’t get from the movie. I got lot of respect to Omi’s character by reading book rather than the movie. The 3 mistakes that Govind talks about – 2 are major, but character is good. In my opinion Chetan Bhagat did it again. Good book. less
