review 1: This novel is unique in its own way, it is set up into short stories and is a great read. A buddy of mine suggested this book to me and im glad he did. He said it was fast moving and I noticed he finished it in a about a week and a half. And I was like sign me up. I started reading and I was hooked. The stories were a about special kids and kids who encountered problems in there life and they are told through their teacher at school. Each short story was awesome i loved every single one. The way they were written just wanted to make you want to finish because you wanted top know what was going to happen at the end. You never wanted to stop reading. I would suggest this book to people who like short stories.
review 2: I loved this book and believe that it is pot
... moreentially one of the most relatable and interesting books I’ve ever read. The best part about a book like this is that the author is not simply making up some story that popped into his head. It is based on truth and is real, it makes you think and it teaches you something. The author Chris Crutcher clearly writes these books to help everyone and he is very good a conveying his thoughts into word form; everything is clear as day and couldn’t be more helpful. One of the big lessons I got from this story is that a lot of times when a kid has a mental issue such as anger management or depression the best thing to do can be nothing. Just let them talk and be as friendly as possible without smothering them. Don’t bring it up unless they do because the last thing you want to happen is make them uncomfortable. Over all I would recommend this book to everyone because it helps everyone to understand the most misunderstood group of people ever, teenagers. less
