review 1: I thought this one was going to be really interesting since I consider myself an non-conformist, but it was disappointing. I only read the first 4 chapters and I just couldn't make myself keep reading. While the author seems to have good ideas and he's obviously been successful in his path, the tone of the book just comes across like a bad self-help guru. I just kept picturing this guy from a "Without a Trace" episode who had created a fake self-help business, but actually came to believe it. Anyway, it just wasn't a great book. I don't think the author was trying to sound fake, but it just sounded like a bad infomerical to me.
review 2: While the book brings up points I both completely agree with and others I completely disagree with, it is an interesting... more read. I won't go into the things I liked and didn't, I will just say reading this inspired me to reach for something in my own career that I previously thought wasn't possible and it seems to have actually gone over well for me. The book will make you think about what you are doing in your own life, which is always a good thing. less
