review 1: I would actually give this 2.5 stars. I would agree with the other reviews who talk about too much underground sex clubs and unlikable characters. I really liked the first book in this series, despite the obsession with the sex clubs. The characters were better developed and the story line was better. I didn't really see how this book was the second in a series - it dealt with the assassin from the first book not the main characters.
review 2: While the action moved faster in this book, I didn't think this book was as good as its predecessor and the ending was a bit confusing again with the little twist. I still think that this series is trying to do too much (and what is with the obsession with the underground NYC sex clubs? maybe the book should just focu... mores on that instead of implying most rich NY socialites are members). It is a page-turner in the sense that you want to know how fast they kill everyone and how. Also, I was waiting for a bigger tie-in with "Fifth Avenue" than just Vincent Spocatti. I did like the title of the book, I think I just expected more. And I didn't care about any of the characters in this book, whereas I felt for the Redman daughters in "Fifth Avenue." less
