review 1: This was a pretty true adaptation of the book, albeit truncated, but it merely reminded me of why I am unimpressed with comics in general. I didn't like the artwork (some of which even seemed to conflict with the book, albeit in minor ways) and is it just me or is it always tough to figure out what the heck is going on in a comic? As in, who says what, which comes first (when they are not in a top-bottom or left-right order)? Ah, well.And apparently "bugger" is no longer a good term, they are now called "formics". Understandable, considering what "bugger" actually means, but annoying to someone who enjoyed the original.

... moreiscussions with students or book clubs. Don't be put off by its simplicity. It can be a very thought provoking journey into the value of war, morality, and many other topics. It's also interesting to see what the view on technology was in 1986. The students' desks reminds me a lot of today's tablet computers. less
