“DENIAL” is the lie that hides the very essence of “TRUTH”.
A mask adorns every face, hiding the possibility of an escape of the feelings buried deep inside. For all one tries, is to cover them up with a plastered smile, a deception to the raging battle of emotions fought in the heart. Yet the cracks find their way. The deepest desires and the darkest secrets, hidden behind a veil of ignorance, oblivious to the world, resurface in the moments of weakness.
Lies! All the strength you build up, for you think you are courageous. Pretence! Every bit of it adds up, with each passing day. Fear! The higher you go constructing your mountain of self-deception, the further you move away from reality, the greater is the fall. Built on the foundation of make believe, this wall is threatened by the moments of weakness, which appears as crevices, a darkness of destruction, looming danger of exposing you .
A truth well hidden all these years in the shadows of your heart creeps out into the dawn of reality. You try and pick up the crumbled pieces but nothing can stop the momentum of tears as the blast of reality hits you hard in the face. A bunch of lies and a couple of fake smiles later the accustomed ways resume. Only this time the mask is stronger, sturdier with impenetrable defenses and with a higher threshold of resistance than that of the previous one!
