review 1: Wow, this volume really kicked things in gear. I had a couple of minor complaints with the last volume of Red Robin, written by Christopher Yost, but I think this trade was wonderful. The League of Assassins versus the Council of Spiders, just a nail-biting, suspense story stuffed to the gills with assassins with Super powers. I really enjoyed it, and I am sorry that this story arc eventually came to an end, when the New 52 began.
review 2: Shame this one starts in the the middle of Red Robin's strange alliance with Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins. If it's a while since you took in vol 1 the unchronological way this arc is finished off might bamboozle somewhat - the scenes tumbling out with little 'now,' 'later' `14 hours earlier' attached. You've got
... moreto love the Ninjas - but man, they go down fast. It's a ninja massacre worthy of Chuck Norris. Things settle down nicely when we get onto the Collision arc though. Red Robin is still convinced that the apparently dead Bruce Wayne is still alive, and why wouldn't he seeing as nearly all his friends have been dead at one time, in fact most of them get cameos here; Superboy, Bart and Stephanie Brown (current Batgirl). Ms Brown gets more than a cameo though in Collision which is essentially a fun Red Robin\Batgirl cross-over. I was close to dropping a star for DC splitting an arc that wasn't even very long and I'd also prefer to see the covers demarcating the issues instead of the way they are mashed together here with the covers bunged in at the end. Good fun was had though. And yeah... Red Robin does look like Doctor Mid-Nite. less

Despite the awful start to this book series, this edition was actually really good.

Solid book. No lone crusader here. Conclusion was tight and worth the time.
