review 1: 4.5 Stars for this one. I was pleasantly surprised with this series and even more by the characters. A good, well told story. The plot was pretty straight forward and, thank goodness, lacked the teenage drama, angst and the ohhhh so predictable love triangle. The best part however, was the characters. I have a feeling that I would read anything, even a cook book, if will, Sam and Mackenzie were in it.
review 2: I'm not sure how to rate this. It is YA so I'm not comparing it to major novels when I rate it, just for its entertainment factor.I love the rippling and the complex relationships. Parts of this book (the excerpts from journals) were pretty creepy so I skimmed over a lot of those. Seriously. Evil.Really fun & entertaining read. This series was fair
... morely clean with occasional not-too-bad language and some violence. I wouldn't let Holland read it yet. less
