review 1: the story is already familiara girl masqueraded as a servant/a nurse actually to find darkest secret from her family's enemy, a duke's heir that tried to snatch the dukedom from her brother. picturing him as an evil creature...but actually met in person the future duke, his name is Ash...actually quite nice and charming. as the times goes by hate turn into love...Anne/Margaret had to choose between her love or his brothersand actually the future duke tellin her a secret that will bring him to doom and loose his dukedomwill margaret choose Ash? or revealing the secret to help his brother?
review 2: Protracted story with many scenes and lines that lead nowhere and added nothing to the plot. And yet despite these superfluous and redundant mini sideplots, there wer... moree many questions left unanswered, past events left unexplained. Characters were indecisive and inconstant, except our hero, Ash, who felt an unwavering attraction towards the heroine at first sight. The prose was lovely at times but rather common in some places - again another inconsistency of this book. less
