Justice League International Vol. III
review 1: Unlike most DC related B-teams, I actually remember the old incarnation of the Justice League International. It was always my gateway to some of the weird DC names along side the JSA. When I saw it on the list of New 52 reboot titles I got excited to see what new international team ups DC could have waiting for us.Sadly the team we were given isn't nearly as unique or well put together as I had hoped for. Booster Gold as the public U.N sponsored team leader makes sense, but why Guy Gardner? Isn't he supposed to be doing GL related space things? Why is he on this team besides to boost sales? Double goes for Batman who is admittedly on loan from the Justice League America. None of the characters create any sort of tension that can't be found in the average kids cartoon. Augu... morest General and Vixen are both kind of interesting, but the writers failed to do anything with them but put them in a never end gauntlet sequence of action scenes. The Signal Men villains lead by space junker Peraxxus are just generic aliens who could have been beat by any supplemental C-level DC team. The art is pretty good, and the issues are basically just a giant schlodge of action seqences with a few recognizable faces and a lot of not recognizable ones. If you like generic superhero team ups like the old original series was this is right up your alley, if not you could easily skip it. I was a little let down by this. Easily the weakest of the Justice League named team titles. 2 stars.
review 2: I found this introduction to Justice League International a little shallow and boring. I like Batman. I occasionally like Gardner when he's not being such a "h8tr." August General in Iron has potential. I feel nothing for Ice, Fire, Vixen, Godiva, Rocket Red, or Booster Gold. Peraxxus wasn't frightening, just douchey. The giants looked like the Iron Giant whom I love so I don't appreciate the similarity. The only part I really liked is when August General in Iron stood with Booster Gold when no one else would. less

I like the new team, and their interactions. The villian, though, left much to be desired.

Not as good as the darker JLI of yore, but okay for a fluffy diversion.

Worst cliffhanger I've ever come across.
