review 1: This was the most disturbing book I've ever read, but I couldn't stop reading. The story line was completely out of my normal (and happy) comfort zone. I'm not even sure what made me choose it in the first place. The book was scary, yet touching, painful at times and very, very graphic. I know it will be a book that will haunt me long after finishing it. It's worth a read... If you are looking for something very different. It might be a good October/Halloween read. Our book club was looking for a scary book last year around that time. This one would now be my recommendation. Happy reading!
review 2: Almost five stars for this one...almost. I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did, even though I have a penchant for the macabre and gristly. I
... morewas surprised that the writer was able to make me like, and truly care about the characters in the midst of death and decomp, but most of all through unexpected hardships and intentional misdemeanors. All in all, a tasty treat of sweet and salty. less

not for the faint of heart- or stomach. A bit of a downer but certainly different

This is a dark story, and also deals with a pretty unique occupation.
