review 1: Another perfect airplane book, or recuperate-in-bed-day book. Did have a good line: Shamron had always believed careers were defined less by the successes achieved that the calamities survived. The seesaw of quiet Cornwallian contemplation thumped up and down by terrorist attacks keeps me turning pages, but I am hard put to remember clearly all the story. But ever a good read when one is necessary.
review 2: I love spy stoies and Daniel Silva is a master at writing them. This particular book had the main character, Gabriel Allon, showing a side of the terrorist story seldom written. Some of it came to light after 9/11 but was quickly hushed. This book brings to the front a real threat seldom considered by Americans. Again, oil is the culprit. Interesting r... moreead and the woman's plight in oil heaven a blight on humanity and food for thought. less
