review 1: This book was rather different to books I've read before, in the sense that the characters lives are somewhat tweaked by the male leads dead mother..sounds odd but it worked. It's about a man and a woman who were childhoods friends and are reunited again. They have both had their struggles in life and you can see them fitting together like two puzzle pieces, as they each has something the other is missing. However, they cannot see/ do not realize that they are perfect for each other, which is where the Jamie's (male lead) dead mother comes in. Elizabeth exists in the spirit world, but her time is limited as her soul will soon be recycled for a new life. I adored this idea, and it made things more exciting. So it is her mission to push Jamie and Eilidh together, with the he... morelp of Jamie's adorable 6 year old daughter. The story is enveloped in the hustle and bustle of the lives of many others within a closeknit Scottish village, so there are more factors to the story other than two people falling in love, including a jealous ex, a lesbian relationship that is kept secret and much more. A lovely, very easy read with some beautiful descriptions x x
review 2: Really great book, a lot of will they/won't they which at times was a tiny bit frustrating but the relationships between the characters was wonderful. There were a few twists and turns along the way all building up to one night 'in the woods' as is described in the blurb. Really terrific read, the ending had me smiling with tears in my eyes. Deserving of 5 stars, just wish the chasing part was a little less! But absolutely worth reading :) and I certainly enjoyed it! less
