review 1: I really enjoyed this volume of Nonrequired and felt like it was one of the better ones I have read. Almost every piece of fiction and nonfiction was varying degrees of good or awesome. That is actually somewhat unusual with compilations since usually the variety in stories leads to there being a couple of ones that I don't like or don't match my sensibilities. I'd definitely recommend this volume of a pretty darn good series.
review 2: It took me longer to read this collection of stories than some other novels, and the reason for that was because I found each individual essay and story so enjoyable and unique that I didn't want to read another one before allowing the one I had just read to sink in a bit. Some crap, some ok, some pure gold.... That's what makes an anthology! Well worth the $14 bucks.
