The 39 Clues: Cahills vs. Vespers
review 1: Well, I finally finished the whole collection of The 39 Clues. At least, that's what I thought but now I find out that there is another sequel series, which I am less than enthusiastic about reading after finishing Day of Doom. Day of Doom wasn't horrible but it was far from great. To be brief I am going to name the things that I felt were the worst. First of all, the dialogue which at times was good/ok and at others was bad; next, the romance, horrible at all times; and the plot was meh, it felt rushed and not clear. The end was predictable but fine. I think this was the author's first try at writing a children's book and that is why it turned out how it did. I did not really like or enjoy it but I guess I am not the target audience. Still not sure if i'll continue The 39... more Clues by reading the next series.
review 2: My fiction Book. It's by David Baldacci, and if you want to understand what's going on, you have to read all the other 39 clues and Cahills vs. Vespers books. I'm pretty sure it's the last of the series. I liked it well enough, but it wouldn't be on my top ten list of books to recommend. A brief summary is that they are trying to stop Vesper one, who is holding some of their friends and family captive. If they don't hand over highly important objects, they will lose one of the hostages. less
