review 1: I was so disappointed with this book! After reading The Dwellers Saga, and since Fire Country was one of my favorite reads of 2013, I was expecting a lot more. Simply put, I didn't like any of the characters. Not a single one. I thought the angel-demon dynamic was interesting, but the dislike I felt for the characters overshadowed it. By the end of the book, I was not invested in Gabriel or Taylor's plight, so I am not going to continue the series. I will read something new by this author, since his other books were so fun and impressive!
review 2: This book has such an interesting twist to the classic good vs. evil. I would have never imagined that angels were bad and demons were good! I really liked how well this book was written. I read it in one day. The... more characters are well developed and kinda quirky. The only downfall to this book was how well Tay and Sam were so lets make out with our crazy un human boyfriends. If I was just told that someone I was dating was not human the first thing I would not do is make out....... but all in all it was a good read and I am curious to see what happens next. less
