review 1: Really liked this book and these characters. But I had a really hard time that 9 years passed and all that was lied about or withheld in those 9 years. I could let a couple years pass and let the author get away with it, but 9??? No way! Why do women feel it's their right to do this stuff. Especially when they reason behind the lie was that he wasn't doing well...ever think that telling him would help? DUH! I thought the author could have done more to bridge the gap in processing and making sense of these issues. Overall, I really enjoy this author and her books. I would still recommend it to other readers...just be prepared to be annoyed. lol
review 2: I came across this book and started looking at her bookshelf and realized that I need to read some of Dawn's ... morebooks. I am so glad I did, Whiskey Lullaby did not disappoint. Dawn's writing was excellent the story flowed extremely well and I loved all the character in this story. I can't wait for the next book in this series.This is a tragic story about a woman who finds her boyfriend with another woman, destroyed by what she seen she flees her home town.Julie meets Dean her world is controlled and lives in fear.When she finally get's away she returns home. Love, forgiveness and some secrets are exposed makes for a fabulous read.Whiskey Lullaby's is a great read, I have rated it 4 stars and would defiantly recommend anyone who loves a great romance/suspense with some really hot scenes this is a book you need to read. I can't wait for the next book in this series. less
