review 1: I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun take on the Sleepy Hollow Legend, and a perfect October read. I liked Katrina, the young heroine. She was intelligent, and spirited, which wasn't always appreciated back in her day. The entire story is told from her point of view, and I thought it was interesting that she struggled with many of the same things that current day teens face. She not only had to deal with living in a very haunted village, she also had issues many teens could relate to...an over-protective, and controlling parent, bullies, gossips, friendship drama, and of course romance. If you enjoy a spooky tale, with a sweet side of romance, you should give this book a try.
review 2: OMG I love it, new intake on the headless horseman legend. Great twist.
... moreCleverly reading to keep you reading until you find out who the killer is and why is he murdering apparently innocent people. Love the characters, they are so human and believable. I love Ichabod( I couldn't but think of him as Johnny Depp). Katrina, the heroine, loved her courage and determination. Great love story between Katrina and Ichabod. The ending however makes me want for more, who is haunting Katrina? What happens with Ichabod and Katrina? . I want a sequel so bad. Dax Varley is a talented storyteller. I couldn't put it down, I finished it at 2 AM. Wonderful spooky read. I looking forward to read more from this talented author. 5 with my head still on my shoulders Stars. Love it. less
