review 1: Monster Madness was better than Nightmare Academy, I felt like it held my attention better and that there was more suspense. This second book in the series contained more adventure and was more exciting to me than the first. I am looking forward to finishing the series and I hope that the third book is better than the second. Normally I never think of books as being geared to girls or boys and usually I like them all no matter the sex of the main character but I felt like this series is more for boys. I like them but I feel like boys would definitely be able to get more involved with the story, maybe it's the monsters...I don't know. I am not a huge monster person but I do like the story line.
review 2: Sebenarnya ini buku horor apa komedi yah? Karena dari awal... more sampai akhir yang ada saya tidak berhenti tertawa. Baik melihat tingkah laku dari beberapa karakter yaitu Theodore yang sangat-sangat PD serta Rex yang koboy cihuy belum ditambah dengan monster-monsternya yang menurut saya kok terlihat imut hahahaha Bahkan ke-empat Named pun sukses bikin saya terbahak-bahak. Karakter Charlie yang perlahan mulai terlihat dewasa walaupun saya melihat sedikit ada yang "miss" dengan karakternya. Wajar kalau buku ini dilabeli sebagai buku anak-anak, ceritanya yang ringan. Tutur bahasanya yang mengalir. Konflik yang tidak terlalu tajam. Cerita yang sedikit mudah ditebak. Tetapi tetap mengajak setiap pembacanya menggunakan imaji-nya.Toh, orang yang sudah melewati masa kanak-kanak seperti saya masih perlu untuk terus ber-imajinasi :) less
