review 1: I really enjoyed this book after Jane got her head out her arse and pulled herself together and started being a feisty heroine, I hate it when the female is all damsel in distress and cant do anything for herself. However, saying that I did feel for her after everything that she had gone through I just think she was stupid and lacked some common sense, surely she would have known that she put her brother and his friends in danger by going to the most obvious place from her ex and by not telling them the truth about everything? she at times acts like an immature teenager rather than the adult she is, I felt Jane was selfish and didn't think about the effect everything was having on the people around her who were trying to help and protect her, especially archer (I want me o... morene of him) on that note my rant is done :) I'd give this book 4 stars purely because Jane frustrated me and made me want to bitch slap some sense into her. overall a good read, I shall definitely continue with this series :)
review 2: Archer........Debra KaynJane Beaumont had reached her rock bottom when the man who had been abusing her mentally and physically over the last four years, shoved a gun in her mouth, threatening to pull the trigger because she was late getting out of work. This handsome attentive man she fell in love with in college turned into a heroin dealer, mob boss and monster. She had been planning on running for a while, but had tried before and paid the consequences. This time she was going to make it, or die trying. Garrett Beaumont is the owner of Beaumont Body Shop, his fathers business which he inherited. It also the home of the private detective agency he runs with a select group of lifelong friends. Jane is Garrett's sister, arriving three months ago, bruised and battered in the company of her cat Bluff. The men are holding onto their anger by mere threads, they desperately want to rid the world of Scott Carter, her former lover. But his reputation as a boss, and the men surrounding him, meant it wasn't going to be easy. One other factor, Jane had forgotten to mention she had stolen money, a lot of money, when she ran away. Kage Archer is one of the men working with her brother. Jane had a crush on him when she went away to college and came home frequently knowing she would see him. After falling in love with Scott, and all that entailed, she had been too embarrassed and ashamed to visit. Scott allowed her to attend her father's funeral, but whisked her away immediately. The only thing keeping her sane for the long months was a small piece of paper Kage had pushed into her hand, hidden in her wallet.......a piece of paper with Kage's number. This novel has a lot of action and suspense and evil bad guys, oh and some great heat! Jane is desperate to prove she is no longer a victim, Kage is desperate to protect her. All the men of Beaumont's Body Shop are big, bad alphas. Great story, characters, and sizzle. Looking forward to the next novel in the series.....Weston.Pat Fordyce less

the ball was dropped a couple of times; she inferred she witnessed a murder and then it was dropped.
