review 1: I have followed this series and was looking forward to Lee's story. I was very curious to see how the author would portray Lee's character. Lee is the son of one of the characters in the first book in the series. He and his brother (Kurt) were kids when the series began. Lee has been in the background of most of the stories and not a major character. I liked the way the author developed the love story between Lee and Shari. Both Shari and Lee have damaged souls and it takes a lot for them to turn their trust and heart over to someone else but these two made it through the struggle. An enjoyable read for me. I can see the author's growth with each book she writes in this series.

Although I will admit to being a little apprehensive when I knew which character this book was going to be about, but I was blown away! Not only is Lee redeemable, but he may just be my favorite of the series so far. I wanted to climb inside the book and just hug him! He does get his HEA with Shari, and I was totally blindsided about her back story and boy is it a good one. All the books in this series are stand alone, but really you are going to want to read them all, and I like having past characters pop up in the other books, which is done in a way that they are not distracting to the current story and you do not have know them to make the story work. If you are looking for a great MC series that is original and just awesome, check these out! less
