review 1: I really enjoyed this romance. It had bundles of sexual tension and oodles of sweet romance. Yes it did have typos and some of the word choices were naff but the story overwhelmed that for me. The ending was wrapped up pretty quick but that's my own pet hate. I like all my ducks in a row, if you know what I mean.I'd definitely recommend this book and will be checking out her backlist.
review 2: Clare is tv journalist with a talk show, and one of her segments is "Falling Stars" where she features a former Star that has fallen out of the limelight. Trace used to be a famous country music star, until tragic events made him turn his back on the entertainment industry. Clare did a story on Trace, alluding to some facts that weren't true. He confronted her, asking f... moreor an apology. When she refused to apologize, he bought the tv station she worked for, and as revenge, made her agree to work for him as his secretary or lose her show altogether. They end up sleeping together, but he tells her that's all he can give her, that he can never love her. When she is offered a position with a national tv station, Trace is angry that she's choosing fame over him. She sticks to her guns, and eventually he gives in and comes looking for her. But instead of being happy about it, she tells him to dig out his past and get over it. I liked the book pretty good up until that part, then it lost me. Any real guy, with Trace's past, and faced with that kind of rejection, isn't going to come crawling back professing his undying love. I like that Clare was independant and true to herself, but she should have given some, too. It took a lot for him to come after the first time. less
