review 1: I was highly anticipating the release of this book because of my affinity for neuroscience and spirituality. It did not disappoint. It was a thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating read. The collaboration of Chopra and Tanzi meshes neuroscience and spirituality with a cohesive flow. They tackle issues such as depression, anxiety , memory loss and being overweight. The authors provide helpful guidelines on how to tackle their issues they discuss. However, their advice on how to alleviate weight issues may seem unconventional to some as they place emphasis on psychology rather then the typical "diet and exercise" route. Furthermore, there is Neuroscience lexicon that may be difficult for some to grasp. The book essentially gives us guides and tips that place emphas... moreis on the concept of Neuroplasticity; the ability of the brain to change and re-wire regardless of age. They also provide examples of studies that back up their claims. Overall, it was a profound and helpful book that can give one a positive outlook on everyday living.
review 2: The book is amazingly wonderful. I enjoyed reading and highlighting every page. What I really like about the book is that it takes you step by step from the old beliefs of the biological human being to the mind-body human being, and finally to the mind-body-spirit human being. However, the process that leads you through the super brain. The book divides the functions of the brain into four phases:Instinctive.Emotional.Intellectual.Intuitive.It says: "Your brain goes out of balance when you favor one part over another". "It takes the entire brain, acting as an integrated whole. Happiness is then rooted in the feeling that you are complete".Also, it tackles the issues of each phase, such as memory loss, depression, overweight, anxiety, personal crisis, finding your power, and self-healing. less

Más allá de un SuperCerebro, los autores buscan resaltar el poder de la mente por encima de todo!

A bit long winded. Lots of words of advice and a good review of things I have learned already.
