review 1: If you like your paranormal romance with lots of sex, mixed in with a little well written plot, this is the book for you! Interesting premise to start, detective and ex wife, former cop with a physic gift, magic user, find murder scene, with old friend connection, must solve, blah blah. And then, the book just gets overwhelmed with the sex between the two of them. I think they have sex like 6 or 7 times in this book with lurid descriptions each time? Nothing wrong with a good sex scene or two, especially if it's romance, but there's something wrong if your sex scenes are half of the book. I don't know, maybe you'd like this if you're into fantasy and you're a 50 shades fan.
review 2: Wow. Way, way to much graphic sex in this book. Author's genre is appar... moreently erotica, but she has an interest in the occult and paranormal so she combines the two here. Could of toned the sex a bit. I thought that after awhile, it detracted from the story and made the two lead characters seem like they had not thoughts other than to have sex every ten minutes. I really liked the witch coming back to her heritage and using her powers. less
