review 1: I had read a novella by Marville which I enjoyed so when I saw this book at the library I decided to give it a try. Sexual addiction due to becoming a Duke at 14 and having a mother who never loved his father seems a little far out, but I went with it. I just couldn't really get into this story and the ending was ridiculous, not to mention the side plot of the hero's brother and mistress. I will not seek out the other books in the series.
review 2: I had to give this book four stars instead of three because it was just that absurd and unconventional while being delightfully hilarious. This book had me laughing, rolling my eyes and grabbing my mother so that she could read a passage (while at the same time barely believing that I would show it to her)."And...? W... morehat? What more could she possibly want from him? Assistance in world domination? Most likely. Would Justine approve of it being number nine or ten? Not likely." less
