review 1: I almost didn't read much of this book. One of the main characters constantly mentions being from the South; just like everyone, anyone? here talks like that. It was a little too sickeningly sweet for me. And I really can't imagine any of my sons bragging about being a "Southern gentleman"; with a straight face. However, once I got past some of that, I began to enjoy it and got more caught up with the characters, their flaws, and how they learned to help each other learn to give the broken lives to God.
review 2: The very first thing that caught my attention was the title of this book. this book is about people trying to put their lives back together after horrible incidents through finding themselves and their faith in god. normally I don't read books that hav... moree anything to do with religion, but this was a very good book. I love the friendship that was formed between all of the characters, and the many stunning revelations that were found. less
