review 1: every time i finish another one of these books, i want to kick myself for being so behind. it's tough because i want to tear through them all as fast as i can, but i gotta make sure i absorb everything too. anyways, not so dark as the last ones had been and some of these end-of-the-climax bits still seem a little forced but...there is just so much interesting stuff going on right now, i do not even care. these stories are especially rewarding now since after this many books, you're really invested in the outcomes. it's weird trying to think of what to say to someone if this is the first skulduggery book they've read. i don't think this would be a good place to start, actually. but if you've already read them and are getting to this one, i think you'll enjoy it. i have yet ... moreto be disappointed by this series.
review 2: Across the country, other mortals are developing magical powers. Valkyrie Cain and Skulduggery Pleasant fight and capture one of these mortals, who has become a werewolf. This book took a fantastic twist on the series, and focuses on four particular teenagers who have developed powers. Another thing I love about this book is that it has Valkyrie as a teenager, even though she was sarcastic teenager when she was 12, her personality has had it's chance to bloom and by god it has. less
