review 1: I'm going to start by saying if you are debating whether or not to read this book: read it. Now if you want my opinion why then read on further.This book is really quite good, valkyrie is learning nemocracy and is supposed to be a great 'death bringer' but another rival or nemocracy is jealous and goes a bit power crazy. The humour is still as brilliant as ever, exciting plots continue, great characters are introduced and are loved (mainly by me). So please read this book
review 2: Notice that the series is called "Skulduggery Pleasant" and not "Valkyrie Cain"?It's like reading a Batman series and most of the time you read about Robin and his love life. The only time you get to read about Batman is when Robin is around.There is nearly Zero character development... more on Skulduggery as well as most of the other characters. There is no development on the Tanith situation as well.Instead we get to read about Valkyrie and how she handles her love life. Is this a Twilight book? Even so, it's not good that this is the only sort of character development in the whole book on the main character, and the main character is of course the currently unlikeable Valkyrie Cain, not Skulduggery Pleasant.Please rename the series or something. less
